GhanaRoofingDeals.com: “Weaving Eurotiles roofing sheets on top Valley Gutters is best. It looks classy and has increasingly become a standard expectation, except for like bamboo design of Eurotiles Roofing tiles that hardly look neat when weaved. We still see some installers though, especially those with longspan roofing backgrounds that still don’t weave over the valley gutter, but instead cut the Eurotiles roofing sheets on top of the valley gutter to channel water to the gutter, just like longspan is done.
Why Is Weaving Eurotiles Roof Valley Area Better Than Cutting?
Double Layer: Most waters that come down from the roof flow through the valley, which is why most serious leakages happen there. Double Layering the valley gutters through weaving of Eurotiles over the original valley gutter creates extra leakage proof, so that the valley rain water now flows on top the weaved Eurotiles layer. If by any chance any drop of water escapes the weaved layer, the actual valley gutter collects it, preventing a leakage. Cutting reduces the valley guttering to one layer.
- Uniformity: weaving over valley gutters with the same Eurotiles Stone Coated Roofing Tiles used all over the roof ensures that all the roof, including the valley gutter areas look the same.
- Differentiation: the finishing of an Eurotiles roof with a clean valley weave is aesthetically appealing and makes a clear difference from other types of roofing materials that don’t use such weaves.
What Designs Of Eurotiles Roofing Sheets Easily Look Neat When Weaved?
- Eurotiles Stone Coated Shingles, Bond, and Classic are easier to weave with clean finishing.
- Milano and Roman, especially Roman require more patience and skill to weave with clean beautiful outcome.
- Eurotiles Bamboo design is mostly cut and not weaved by most installers, as its rugged profile design makes it really difficult to weave clean.
What Kind Of Valley Gutters Do Most Eurotiles Installers In Ghana Use?
- Most Eurotiles roofing sheets installers in Ghana use longspan valley gutters, usually about 14feet.
- Stone coated valley gutters are mostly not available in Ghana, though Stone coated flat sheets are very much available.
- The longspan valley gutter works just fine and weaving over it with Eurotiles hides it completely, even if it’s of different color from the Eurotiles roof tiles being used to roof the project.
Do I Need To Specifically Inform The Carpenter During The Roof Woodwork Stage That I Intend To Use Valley Gutter And Weave Over It With Eurotiles Roofing Sheets?
- Yes, you may need to inform your roof woodwork carpenter of your plan to use valley gutters and and have your installers weave over them with Eurotiles roof tiles, so as to design valleys that can properly use valley gutters and weaved Eurotiles overlays.
- Carpenters are starting to observe that many experienced installers and even some Eurotiles roofing companies themselves no longer insist on using valley gutters. So, some carpenters are starting to design roof valleys that either can’t use valley gutter at all or can’t use valley gutter along with weave-over Eurotiles valley layer without creating a ridge-like hunch that misdirects the flow of rain water. If you don’t inform your carpenter on time, he can possibly design the valley to use only Eurotiles valley weave to form valley gutter. This trend also shows that experienced Eurotiles roofing sheets installers are increasingly facing out use of valley gutters.”
